More info

Commercial espresso machines usually have better features than those that are meant for home use. But what happens when you get a machine that was designed for home use but has the qualities of a commercial grade espresso maker?

You don’t have to to wonder anymore because that is exactly what you are getting with the Rocket Espresso GIOTTO TYPE v Espresso Machine.

The GIOTTO TYPE v belongs to the most versatile espresso machine range of Rocket Espresso. Because of that, you can be sure that it has numerous features that set it apart. Here are some of the most noteworthy ones:

Insulated Copper Boiler - The GIOTTO TYPE v has a 1.8 liter boiler that is made from copper, which is wrapped in a special insulating blanket. The insulation improves thermal stability by about 30% and delivers 22% energy savings.

Stainless Steel Case
- One of the reasons why the GIOTTO TYPE v looks so good is because of the AISI 304 stainless-steel case. The stainless steel case gives the machine an elegant and highly polished appearance.

E-61 Brew Head
- The E61 Group Head is an industry standard. It is specifically designed to keep a constant temperature during the whole extraction process. As any coffee expert would know, changes in the temperature during the extraction process can affect the taste of the resulting espresso. The  E61 Group Head is made from brass and is lead-free.

Dual Pre-Infusion System
- The pre-infusion system of the GIOTTO TYPE v has a progressively working piston. It also has a static pre-infusion chamber. All of those features contribute to producing coffee that has a great aroma, crema, and body.

Vibration Pump
- The GIOTTO TYPE v has a vibration pump.

Insulated Steam Wand
 - The steam wand used in this espresso machine has a two-hole tip and has internal insulation, which reduces or even eliminates the risk of burns altogether.

Removable Cup Rack
 - The cup rack of the GIOTTO TYPE v is removable, so it can be made to fit into tight spaces if needed.

Water Reservoir
 - The GIOTTO TYPE v comes with a  98-ounce water reservoir that can easily be accessed.

 - The machine is equipped with a low-water sensor that automatically cuts the electrical circuit when the water level in the reservoir gets too low. It will warn you when you have to refill it with water.

With all of the features that we have mentioned, it is not surprising that you can get a ton of benefits from the GIOTTO TYPE v.

Safe - Because of the internally insulated wands, there is no danger of burns when using the machine.

Quality Espresso - Like other espresso makers from Rocket, GIOTTO TYPE v produces quality espresso. For coffee lovers, that’s the most important thing.

Saves Energy - Because of the insulation of the 1.8 liter boiler, the espresso maker can deliver 22% energy savings.

Some people consider the domestic espresso machines built by Italian company ECM in the 1980's as legendary.

When we at Rocket Espresso purchased the rights to build those very machines, we certainly thought so. We then set about turning the legendary machines into the finest handmade espresso machines. Our machines had to be beautiful and made with meticulous care and attention to detail. More importantly the machines of Rocket Espresso had to be capable of producing the finest espresso.

Rocket Espresso, a partnership between New Zealanders Andrew Meo and Italian Daniele Berenbruch, whose father had been the inspiration behind those very first machines.
