Responsibilities include:

Developing the category based on research of customers needs.
Maintaining control over proper stock levels of the products in the category.
Preparing buying plans and sales forecast.

SUMMARY:

The purpose of this role is to manage day-to-day business operations of the eCommerce platform and department ensuring all resources, processes, and systems are working to their peak performance. Frequent independent judgments are essential.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The candidate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned

  •          Single point of contact for intradepartmental relationships between, Customer Care, Supply Chain, Inventory Management and logistics vendors
  •          Project manage all e-commerce operations related activities from discovery to implementation, on-time and under budget
  •          Manage the relationship with key fulfillment partners and other suppliers. Monitor and control suppliers to confirm services meet agreed levels and to ensure we are getting best value (cost, quality, service, and alignment). Evaluate, negotiate and execute agreements with new suppliers.
  •          Manage inventory, troubleshoot problem items, and track orders to 100% accuracy. Partner with customer support team to understand consumer problems/needs and to drive initiative to retain, upsell, and improve the overall consumer experience.
  •          Monitor performance on all channels to rapidly detect and address any problems or opportunities.
  •          Monitor, report, and ensure departmental and platform SLAs and KPIs are being met within established tolerance; i.e. inventory levels, proper warehouse management, on-time delivery, revenue. 
  •          Project management and troubleshooting will be important elements of this role
  •          People management – Build, manage and develop the internal team, as well as indirect reports

JOB REQUIREMENTS

EXPERIENCE:

  •          At least one year of experience in eCommerce project management or operations
  •          Strong process and IT skills with the ability to support a new system implementation
  •          Excellent quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to distill insights, present findings clearly and drive action based on data
  •          Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to build strong relationships and to collaborate effectively across functions and with third parties.


EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) Business, Marketing or IT required

What will you be doing?

You will be conducting market research using various qualitative and quantitative research techniques to help us learn more about our clients, market trends, products demand, competition, and more.

Some of your daily tasks will involve:

  • Planning and conducting primary research (surveys, customer interviews, focus groups).

  • Identifying secondary research (studies, surveys) we can use in our business.

  • Presenting research findings in writing and in person, including actionable recommendations.

  • Working closely with the entire marketing team, as well as with heads of individual business lines.

We expect that you’re comfortable with the following:

  • Analyzing client demographics, preferences, needs, and buying habits.

  • Gathering consumer, competitor, and market condition data.

  • Analyzing data to draw both qualitative and quantitative conclusions.

  • Converting findings into written reports.

  • Maintaining and improving reports to answer business questions.

  • Presenting research into concise and actionable recommendations.

  • Working with SQL (entry level) and Excel (advanced).
