Baratza Encore Conical Burr Coffee Grinder

This tried and true grinder has been on the market since 2012 and is the most widely used grinder. Its grind consistency and reliability make it a great little workhorse for your home espresso, drip or French Press coffee setup.

Conical burrs

Manufactured in Europe, the Encore’s ™40mm conical burrs will grind for any style of coffee. These conical burrs produce a consistent grind that is accurate and fine enough to produce Espresso, drip, manual brewing methods, and French Press. The hardened steel burrs are durable and will remain sharp for many years.

Efficient Motor

A powerful DC motor that produces more than four times the output with twice the efficiency of a standard AC motor found in most grinders in this class. This motor turns slowly resulting in cool, quiet operation and permits long grinding duty-cycles. The circuitry is equipped with an automatically resetting thermal cutoff switch to protect the motor from overheating.

Large Bean Hopper

The hopper holds up to a maximum of 226 grams for several pots of coffee. Compatible with the bean hopper extension that can add 255 grams of capacity.

40 Steps of Grind Adjustment

The range of grind and accuracy of settings is truly impressive. The Encore™ has 40 distinct settings to enable grinding from Espresso to French Press, with the simple turn of the hopper.

Gearbox 2.0

Adds increased strength and durability of the drive transmission, all the while decreasing the noise output. The new gearbox includes a new driveshaft, motor mounting plate, and bushings, as well as a new drive gear made of 15% glass-filled thermoplastic. A thermal overload cutout protects the motor from overheating due to excessive use.

Calibration

An innovative burr calibration system ensures that each grinder has the full range of grind. If necessary, the grinders can be user calibrated.

Easy Control and Operation

Straightforward and easy to use, with a motor that is activated by an on/off toggle switch on the side for continuous grind or a convenient pulse button on the front for a quick grind burst.

Easy Clean

The grinding element (Burrs) easily lifts from the grinder for quick and frequent cleaning.
